Four militants were killed and three members of the Indian Air Force personnel were killed in a terrorist attack based on the Pathankot Air Force in Punjab, on Saturday morning. About an hour after the meeting had ended, gunfire were again heard and the security forces suspect a fifth activist could be locked up inside the base.
Police cordoned off the area. The army and a team of the national security guard were summoned to the area. The number ofterrorists who were wearing army uniforms would have been approximately four to six. Heavy shooting could be heard fromthe area of the IAF station until 07:30. The Pathankot-Jammu Highway has been on alert of the security forces. The entire area near the train station of the IAF wassealed.
