With the prime objective of disseminating knowledge with regard to Molecular Sciences among the academicians and practitioners in Sri Lanka and all around the world, and to create a perfect networking platform for scientists, chemists, industry leaders to exchange their ideas, suggestions and perceptions The 02nd International Conference on Bio Science and Bio Technology (Bio Tech 2017) was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) during 09-10 of March, 2017 at Hotel TajSamudra, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The Conference was organized upon the theme of “Molecular Science for an Innovative Knowledge Era” and was hosted by University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. BCAS Campus and University of Kent had joined hands with the Conference as Academic Partners and Sri Lanka Convention Bureau had joined as the Strategic Partner.
Very important insights on areas such as Structure and Function of Metabolic Enzymes and Relevance to Human Health, Reprogramming Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) Cells for the Enhanced Production and Quality of Recombinant Protein Biopharmaceuticals and Hydroxyapatite Coated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (Hap/Ionps) as a Potential Carrier for Anti-Cancer Drug Molecules to Treat Cancer with Multiple Origins were shared by the speakers at the key note forum of the conference.
Prof. D. Peiris, Senior Lecturer of Department of Zoology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Liang Tong, Ph.D William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor, the Department Chairof Department of Biological Sciences, Columbia University, New York co-chaired Bio Tech 2017, while Prof. Mark Smales, Professor of Industrial Biotechnology, Director of the Industrial Biotechnology of University of Kent, UK and Prof. K.M.
